A Dated 2000s Kitchen Gets a Striking $2,000 Makeover (The Cabinets Stayed!)
I like the general premise of the after - it's the gray/black colored tile with the clearly brown/golden other parts like the floor that just don't make it cohesive, tho.

Recommendations for hanging this oddly sized painting?
I got this painting in Turkiye recently; it's a thick paper painted with paint. The sizing is fairly odd so it's not possible to buy a pre-made frame for it. A custom frame really isn't in the budget. I attempted to hang it with sticky tack but it's too heavy and fell down within a few days. I also tried a wooden hanger…

What type of paint do you use when upcycling furniture?
Chalk, oil-based or water-based? I find that water-based paint tends to wear off on heavily used pieces.

Period Outhouse Reno - love it or losing it!
We are strongly considering embarking upon the upgrade of one set of our Georgian outhouses here on the south coast of Ireland and I’m not convinced whether I need encouragement or to be talked out of it! Help create a breakfast nook with possible storage (not a deal breaker)
I am looking to create a breakfast nook for this area. it is a 82in * 90 in space which is side of the kitchen. My idea was to create a corner bench kind of sitting with possible storage but not able to find furniture matching that dimension and I am not in a budget to create a custom build. House is a mid century modern…

What do you even call this empty space in the wall and what do I do about it?
I struggled to make a title to explain but I just purchased an apartment that has an empty window-like space between each bedroom and the main room. Ideally, I'd like to somehow make it a window since now it's just open. It looks like the last owner had nailed some sort of material to cover it since there are a lot of…

Help with this art!
Hi! I was so excited to get this framed piece of needlepoint back (the flamingo). But now that it's back I feel it is too small in this bathroom. I thought it would look great because it is close to the Slim Aarons art in the nearby kitchen (a Palm Springs vibe). What should I do?! Would you repaint the bathroom (one…
