Hi AT! I need some of your ideas, please.
My condo's en suite bathroom is mostly original to the build - 1993. I cannot afford to do a complete reno, and will need to live with this grey-ish cream fibreglass bathtub. My budget will allow me to redo the tiles and the floor, and install a recessed light over the tub. The colour of the tub is difficult to capture. It's approximately the same colour as Benjamin Moore's White Down paint. The existing tiles are a pale cream colour with a medium blue glass detail. The grout is discoloured with age. The floor looks quite a bit darker in the photos than it is. Currently I have painted the wall in BM's White Dove as a blank slate. There is no window in this bathroom and the ceilings are 7', which is unfortunate.
So! How to proceed? I would ideally like to downplay the colour of the tub. Should I try to match new tile to the tub colour (not my favourite) or what? I was considering navy, and I do enjoy some texture. I'm very open to suggestions and ideas. I have been leaning into a coastal vibe in the rest of the condo, so would ideally like to carry that through here, if that is possible. [If I could, I would reno this entirely and make it white with some fun accent colours.]
I'm looking forward to hearing what you think!
