Jewel tone sofas that don't break the bank?
Expert
I just bought my first house and I'm taking this opportunity to buy a new sofa. I'm really interested in jewel tones (greens, blues, purples) but also trying to not spend too much. Any suggestions?

I was thinking velvet, but I'd settle for anything jewel toned, honestly!

@AmritaThakkar CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like IKEA could be a great place to begin this hunt. This has really great reviews and the deep green color is stunning! Do you know what style you're leaning?

Here is my Sven sectional couch from Article which I bought a few years ago. Everyone comments on the color, but I love how comfortable it is.

I love jewel tones also. Deep rich purple and dark forest green are so beautiful. Congrats and good luck!

Hey Amrita, the best jewel tones come through in fabrics like velvet that really capture the light and the color variation. Interior Define, our old friend, does this well with their performance velvet fabrics and you can see a few examples right here:

Congratulations @AmritaThakkar! You're a star 💫 I purchased my couch from Chairish and I feel like they always have jewel-toned pieces that have a story!

@KylieMcConville love that suggestion — I didn't look through IKEA's catalog closely enough! I think I'm looking for something more on the velvet end like Maxwell suggested, though!

@NPalumbo @DanielaAraya That is GORGEOUS. And it does look like you could sink into it… this is definitely going on my list of top contenders!
