Currently, my dog's eating area is really, for lack of better word, sad. He has two tin bowls and not only is the area an eyesore, but it's also not representative of his personality and the happiness he brings me. Is it worth it to invest in "fancier" dog bowls / feeding accessories? If so, do you have any recommendations? Sardine and I thank you in advance 🐶

Omg is your dog's name Sardine? 😭❤️ Lady's setup is from Wild One. They have the cutest bowls and mats that keep her little corner of the house stylish. I also really love Fable Pets!

thank you @DanielaAraya! this is so helpful! I'm going to look into them both. I can't take credit for the name Sardine </3 (that's the name that he had at the shelter!) but it's too fitting I couldn't change it 😍

I don't know if you're based in Europe, but I really love Zara Home for their pet furnishings! Last time I checked they had a beautiful enamel bowl (beige + blue) sat within a wooden block - in two different heights! Sending love to Sardine from my doggo @heymrlouis 💛

I got my pup elevated dog bowls and put a mat underneath that I can wash (he's a bit of a messy eater!). This is not quite the same one, but it is similar:
It's not the most stylish, but maybe you can do something similar (elevated) but with chic dog bowls like these:

My tiny dog was eating all the cat food. I tried putting the cat food bowl up high, but the cat found it way too much fun to slowwwwly deliberately push the bowl of cat food off the shelf, table, whatever I put bowl on….. sigh.
So,
I removed the bottom drawer of my tallboy dresser, and placed it on the floor, and put the cat food mat and cat food bowl in the bottom drawer which now lives on the floor. This was a win win.
The cat no longer has the option to push her food all over the room. All her food is contained inside the drawer that now sits on the floor.
And the tiny dog can not get over the sides of the drawer to get at the cat's food. (obviously, this trickery would not work with a normal sized dog..)
and, an unexpected bonus was, the empty space under the tallboy dresser created when that bottom drawer was removed? made a cozy little lair for the cat to hide in and nap there. Her new favorite spot.2 -
Those tiny dogs are determined! 😅❤️
