Hardwood vs. engineered wood for apartment

Trying to figure out which is better for our 1200 square foot apartment…thoughts? experiences you might have had? Please advise!!

I have both hardwood and engineered wood in my home and both have their pros and cons! Real hardwood is beautiful (you really can't replicate the look of it), but it's easier to scratch. My dog has really made a dent in our hardwood floors. I don't mind it as much but you can notice it if you look around. Engineered wood is more cost-effective and moisture/scratch-resistant, which can be a huge benefit depending on your lifestyle. If you decide to go the engineered wood route, I used Malibu Wide Plank and it's really pretty!
