i’ve never lived alone till a year ago. And I rented this apartment it’s two bedroom one bath and a kitchen and it’s me and my cat. But I have no idea how to make the space mine. It’s just like a generic version when you walk in of like you know, would you like to rent this apartment? It’s not mine yet and I don’t know where to start because I’m on a budget so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @tanyalyntaylor Wow, your apartment is really sparse. The good news is that basically anything you do will make a big change right away.If I were to just point out a few simple things, I would say:
And this is a little AI love for you. This is what Nano Banana said.
Absolutely, here is a traditional styling idea for your friend's living room. To bring out that classic look, I've incorporated:
Classic Details: A simple table runner, a fruit bowl centerpiece, and stacked books on the coffee table add texture and character.
Starting out, the best bang for your buck is quilts on the wall. In the dining room, behind the sofa, instead of a headboard in the bedroom and even a quilted wall hanging in the laundry room.
Go to some thrift shops they have some fun finds in there and usually cheap. There are some really good throw blankets for the sofa on Amazon (I highly recommend those made by Bedsure).
If you have photos of yours that you like get them enlarged and pick up nice frames cheaply at Marshall's or Home Goods.
Tip: If you are a Walgreen's drugstore member they send emails where you can get a FREE 8x10-inch photo you have done totally free. I do it online and go in the store and pick it up. I have had at least 4 Free offers this past year.
With a cat be very careful of fresh flowers and plants - I had a cat that ate a supposedly safe plant and almost died. I only have artificial flowers in my apartment.
