Decluttering and organising my home especially closet. Any ideas? Even socks
Hi @karen14066 — What size closet are you working with? Do you have a dresser in your room, or is the closet going to hold most of your things? On the sock front, if you're looking for something quick and easy, I love these hanging organizers from IKEA. Generally a big fan of IKEA and the Container Store for buying anything organizing related
I find working on little bits at a time helps me. I don't have much time to work on it and it is overwhelming to think of it as one big job. Start somewhere you KNOW you can declutter so you can start with a win. Maybe clean out the medicine cabinet, disposing of expired meds, makeup and beauty products, along with with things you know you won't use. Or maybe clean out your "tupperware" matching bowls and lids and discarding orphans. Or since you mentioned socks, matching up pairs and tossing out worn and mismatched socks. I think success breeds success, once you start doing things and seeing a difference, it makes you want to do more.
As for organizing, that's more personal. My advice is put things where you would use them and keep like things together. Since you are looking at doing your whole house know that the spot you find for something today might not be its forever home during this process.
