Unique way to create privacy for large window?

I'm moving into a new apartment and there's floor to ceiling windows which is great, but it's on the second floor so it's pretty exposed to people on the street. There are built-in blinds from the top of the window, but during the day, I wont want those closed as I'd like the natural light to come in. What are some ways I can add privacy from the ground up to right near that window bar without blocking too much light?

I was thinking either one of those window privacy films or some type of window shutter that I can put on the bottom portion of the window. Any other ideas?

Cafe curtains would work, and you could use fabric that co-ordinates with the room decor.

Both are great options, so many different peel and stick patterns. Another option may be a pressure rod with a curtain of your choice - you could adjust the height of the rod, and the curtain depending on the season.

We added the Levelor cellulor blinds to our heritage windows (top down), and find they save a on temperature variances. Ours are attached on the inside of the window, but are not in tracks along the side - that would be even more efficient. We were trying to restrict the screws into the woodwork.

I wonder if you could find a peel and stick mural of greenery that looks realistic as "a green hedge" or something similar?

if you search Etsy for "hazy bamboo leaves privacy window film frosted glass" it looks pretty real..

+1 to cafe curtains. If you end up going this route, I can vouch for Rejuvenation's cafe curtain rod (spendy but it really does look fab!)

I can only imagine the natural light you'll get in here 🤩 Depending on your room's design direction, it could be a fun opportunity to bring in some color and play with peel-and-stick. Artscape has some nice options (I like this stained glass one) and so does Etsy. This one is so pretty! Search for top down bottom up blinds - they are paper-like shades that are very adjustable and still let in a lot of light. That's what I plan to do someday 😁

I use a combo of frosted decals for my bathroom window along with cafe curtains for when I want to actually look outside.
