New bathroom DIY project!

I am trying to think of creative ways to upgrade my bathroom DIY style. I can't actually change the physical set up of the room, but can paint, use peel and stick tiles, wall paper, etc. I live on the upper east side in NYC (pre-war building) that traditionally has a very 90s style. I am looking to make this more modern and comfortable. Here is what I am working with. Any advice?

This looks like the perfect blank slate! I would introduce some color into the space. Paint is an obvious way to do that, but you could also achieve this through decorative elements like shower curtains, bath mats, or a small gallery wall. Think of ways to infuse your personality. Have you heard of sproos shower heads? They're renter-friendly and very easy to install. They fit in existing shower plumbing, similar to what you have, and come in a bunch of fun colors. That would add a fun pop in your shower! I also really like Quiet Town shower curtains because they're colorful and transparent, and I find that they make a bathroom feel bigger since you aren't enclosed. I love changing bathroom hardware (you might need some help with the faucet, but it's very easy to change back when you move out) and light fixtures. Also, switch plates are an easy, renter-friendly fix. You got this!
