I recently had my small galley kitchen redesigned and although there are more cabinets, I have less space for storage. It's the same thing with my new fridge, going from side to side to French door with two lower freezer drawers.
Oh no! Do you have space in your kitchen for a hutch or additional piece of furniture that could provide you with some more storage?
Not without making it feel more cramped than it already is. There was a pantry added that was supposed to provide the extra space needed, however, that too was not crafted in the way I asked, to have space enough for the electric sweeper and no space under the cabinet for my kitchen trash can because of the drop in farm sink. I'll simply have to be creative. I did purchase a counter height table and chair which has some cabinet space in the end and was thinking on using that for my everyday dishes and seasonal tablescapes, linens.
Oh, by the way, thank you for posting. It feels good to have an outside opinion.

As in my reply to Danielia, the issue itself, is, that I am going to have to be more creative during the next process, I admit that I gave too much trust to the designer which changed several of my ideas, however, since I was on vacation during the time of remodel, I have no one to blame besides myself. WOW..that was the very best vacation ever…no contact for three weeks. I'll be onsite during the next remodel. 😎
ps..since I'm a "Boomer" I like to keep things moving, so I'll take a while to recalibrate some fundings for the next go around and decide if I even need a working kitchen..LOL

Thanks for sharing my pain. I am at peace knowing that I have made a mistake in my choice of designer for my kitchen remodel.
I had full confidence in the idea that people are called by a professional vocational title. Not realizing that some people have never earned a title, they only think they have. I did not do enough research to determine that her credentials were not up to my standards.
I will be more involved in my next remodel.🤨
