Re: House Tour: This Outdated 1950s House Checked None of Their Boxes — Now It’s the Dreamiest Home
Lovely home, beautifully done. However…
BRING BACK THE COMMENTS SECTION ON EACH HOUSE TOUR! IT MAKES NO SENSE TO SEPARATE THE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT A TOUR FROM THE TOUR ITSELF!
Re: Community replaces Comments?
Hi @phyllisc4075 — I’m so glad you found your way here 💛
Yes, this Community Forum is where article conversations now live. We’re hoping it allows for more open dialogue, like the rest of the discussions that have been happening here over the past year. Right now, we’re prioritizing dedicated discussion threads for select House Tours and Before & Afters, which will often include the homeowner popping in to answer questions. If you come across a story that doesn’t yet have its own thread, you’re welcome to start one! Our moderators can then add the photos and details from the article so others can join in easily
We’re continuing to improve how this works and really appreciate everyone’s feedback as we learn and fine-tune the process. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions as you get acquainted. Thanks so much for checking in and being part of the community!
Re: House Tour: This Artist’s Tiny NYC Studio Is Proof You Don’t Need Much Space to Live Beautifully
Josh clearly put a lot of consideration into his home's decor. I appreciate his use of the olive and sage greens with orange and yellow, some of my favorite colors (and a combo I have in my BR!). I like the gallery wall, but it looks like you can't really sit back on the sofa without your head hitting something. I worry about his grandma's plate in such a vulnerable spot! Overall, his place is cheerful and looks comfy. It was a great idea to install a Murphy bed.
Re: House Tour: This Renter Turned an NYC Apartment into a Parisian-Chic Bachelorette Pad
Posting and reading comments is just no fun anymore.
It's like having misplaced your keys and trying to remember where you left them when you're already late.
Re: Community replaces Comments?
I miss the comments linked directly with the stories. I enjoyed reading the perspectives of others, some of whom could really spot and suggest things I didn’t. I felt it really encouraged interaction, which I don’t feel exists with the new format - at least how it is now. So I’ve not been reading as many stories all the way through and not clicking on as many at all. Sad.
Re: Rules for commenting perhaps, or no comments
I totally agree — comments have been getting nastier and nastier — I can't imagine anybody who's ever read the comment section deciding to have their apartment featured. Why be cruel, people?
