Entry way needs love
Hi There! We recently moved and got way more space that our furniture can cover! Im so excited to decorate but i've have no idea what to do in this entry way that is cozy, welcome but also functional as we have a 5 year old too! The super tall wall with the bench feels so daunting me to! Please help!

You can start by adding a very large picture

You have a great size blank wall to work with!
1)Add a gold frame mirror
2)Small console and add pictures so it feels cozy and inviting.
3)Remove the little bench

This is such a great space to work with! Try not to let the size of your wall overwhelm you but rather inspire you (because you really can do some neat things over here 😊). How's your storage situation? Do you have enough in the mirrored closet? I ask because I have these fun lockers in mind that are functional and very kid-friendly and could look good here. Check out Mustard Made. If you don't need much storage, I would swap the bench for an entryway table where you can place mail and any other things you need before you leave your house. Find a piece of artwork that you like to hang above it. Would you consider painting this area? I love the idea of adding some color through paint so that you're welcomed by a very cheerful area right as you walk in. Another idea that could be fun for the kiddo: How about a chalkboard wall (or even a smaller chalkboard area) to write notes and reminders?

The mirrored closet could work harder for us. but i can see us needing more storage in future. I do love those lockers too!!! The bench, was my husbands idea - he just wanted a play to sit and put his shoes on! We did have a thin table along there that we moved to another room. I think a colour in there would be great! Thank you so much for your advice!

You're so welcome! Makes sense on the bench. If it's serving a purpose, don't lose it! I wonder if a longer bench would look good there, with storage for the shoes so you can remove the shoe tray you have by the door and give more room for the bench
