Seating Situation Needs Help!

hi everyone, i recently moved into a new apartment with stunning wood ceilings and am realizing that it is quite a bit larger than my old space and i’ll be needing some more seating to host friends - my current couch is green velvet and i have a pink velvet chair, a navy beanbag, a glass table, a massive black & white checkered shag rug as well as an eclectic gallery wall behind the couch. i am leaning toward either a white love seat (i’d love it to be boucle to introduce a new texture, since i’ve moved the boucle bench into my room) or maybe a tan leather love seat but i’m not sure if that would clash with the laminate flooring.

i’m hoping some of you might have some helpful insight & ideas!

this is such a cute space @colourmeallie ! i think boucle or faux leather would be great. (i just got something very similar to this for my living room, and i love it. ) maybe this is too maximalist, but you could also consider a print that ties your pink, navy, and green together but doesn't overwhelm with the checkerboard. i'm not sure if any of these are the perfect match — but just to get the wheels turning!

Wow those ceilings really are stunning! I agree with @SarahEverett here — boucle would be so nice in your space. Since you already have a bean bag, you could also lean into the low-to-the-ground seating look get another bean bag in a boucle material. I've been looking into this brand!

Paint the room a livelier color and go up in your design, hang curtains (short or long) up higher, draw the eye to that fabulous ceiling, have someone paint a collage on that block wall
