I live in a classic 1 bed Chicago apartment from 1901 so the rooms are all shaped odd (but with tall ceilings and a lot of character) and I have this den under the stairs that I have used as an office but want to add some sort of sleeping arrangement for guests. I can move my desk to the large blank wall and give myself 6' x 7' to work with, so the end of the bed would have to be under the slant.

Moving your desk to the larger wall to free up that 6' x 7' area is a great idea it gives you just enough room to create a cozy guest sleeping setup. Since the bed will be under the slant, you might consider a low-profile daybed or even a foldable floor mattress to keep it feeling open when not in use. Adding some soft lighting and maybe a curtain or room divider could help define the space while keeping it flexible. Would love to see how it turns out!
