Ground level patio needs some privacy AND personality

I have a long, narrow ground floor patio space that I never use for a number of reasons. One is zero privacy. I used wood clamps to successfully hang christmas decorations this holiday and I want to use them to create a six foot curtain on the far end of the patio. In addition, I've always had these metal chairs and the cushions are covered in dust because of all the dust this space accummulates. So I'd like a seating/storage solution where I can keep the cushions clean while they are not being used. I also love plants and a cozy/textured feeling. But I don't want to have to drill into the outside of the building or brick. Renter friendly ideas please. My budget is around $400-600 for this space. Thanks!

I wonder if you could DIY privacy dividers like this to give yourself partial privacy (instead of hanging curtains or something that might not withstand the weather outside). An outdoor rug would add some warmth and color to this area, but I suggest going with something water-resistant and easy to clean, otherwise, they get messy. This storage box would be great for holding your cushions and other things when they're not in use. Check out IKEA for budget-friendly outdoor inspiration too!

The dividers suggested above are gorgeous. IKEA also has fabric panels to attach to the fence itself that can be removed later, for less money.

You can transform your patio into a cozy and private retreat with a horizontal slat privacy screen, Add some fairy lights wrapped around the screen or hang lanterns with LED candles to create a warm, inviting glow and incorporate greenery. For seating, consider a weatherproof rattan set, a storage bench with cushions, or even a small hanging swing for a touch of charm.

    All Great Ideas so far…

What about a thin Planter Box along the edge of the patio?

A planter box addresses your goal of incorporating greenery AND it could provide the privacy you seek depending on the height of the plants you add.

Wayfare has a great selection of affordable outdoor privacy screens that come with feet so it/they would be moveable and therefore renter friendly. I wouldn't want to sit on my patio with the view of the parking lot either!
