Is this too bold?

Renovating our kitchen. The Cambria Inverness Bronze will be the countertops, the large black/gray/brown will be the floor tile, and the charcoal subway tile will be the backsplash. What to do about the cabinets? Painted cream, white or black? Wood laminate? Solid wood might be too expensive. I want the kitchen to feel warm and cozy, not black/white/stark. Suggestions?

Going with wood cabinets would definitely add warmth to the space! What if you went with IKEA cabinet bases and custom fronts through Semihandmade? This is what I did in my kitchen, and it saved me so much money. You can look through their samples here (I like the walnut color they have for you)

Look at how pretty the wood and black are together:

P.S. I also went with Cambria countertops and they've held up great!

I like that backsplash tile. Very evocative of dyed leather with the black it having brown edges. I would pick up the brown of the counter veins as the cupboard color. I'm not so keen on the flooring. While its variegated color will hide dirt and crumbs very well, it looks like way too hard a surface to be standing on for long while cooking, and I think it detracts from the other two proposed surfaces.
