š POLL: What color is your bedroom painted and why?
Surprisingly, my bedroom is the only unpainted room in my home! I'm finally going to take the time to give it a little glow-up, so naturally, I have bedroom paint colors on my mind.
I'd love to hear how you ultimately decided on the color of your bedroom. Vote for your color and tell me below š

Neutral (beige, off-white, tan, gray)
So, I actually like having my walls white mostly because my furniture, curtains, and bedding are all very colorful! For me, I love the white walls act as a neutral backdrop to all the other colors I use.
That being said, I'm considering painting my office walls! Most my office furniture is mostly wood (which I count as neutral) so I think it's time to bring some color in.

Something else (wallpaper, limewash, etc.)
I have three colours so I marked Something Else. I have one long wall in a grey/green blue, slightly more grey than duck egg (though I wanted duck egg, long story), a block of dark red behind the bed, and the rest is white.

Blue
I painted our bedroom Frozen by Clare Paintsāwalls, trim and ceiling.

Purple
I've always loved purple, so my bedroom is that color, with a lighter version of the same shade for my bathroom. The basis in all my home is black, white and grey, so that if I am wanting a change, new duvet cover, or when a sofa needs replacement, I can go with whatever color I would like

Green
Mint green. It was the color that the afternoon sun hitting the back lawn reflected onto the white background 70's wallpaper that preceded the paint.

I'm a maximalist and I love rich colors. That being said, my bedroom is the most neutral space in my home. The walls are a sandy tan, one wall has an oversized floral wallpaper in muted but dark colors and I have green curtains with a vine pattern. The bedding is white/ brown/ ochre. All the furniture is vintage in medium wood tones. It is still a lot happening but more subtle than my forest green office or deep gold guest room. I wanted this room to have a warmer feel and I hate the institutional look of grey.

It's yucky brown color. It was painted when we moved in. I haven't had the funds to paint it what I want to, something like sleepy purple or mauve

White or light blue are my favorite bedroom colors. Super tranquil and calming, love this vibe.

Green
We both love green, fortunately, so picking the green family was an easy decision. But fixing on the precise shade was hard. In the end, we chose a slightly golden green color (not an aqua or mint, which are more on the blue side). The room faces north, so the light from the windows feels cool, but the warmer green doesn't make it too chilly, as a more blue-green might have. There is a large tree right outside the window, and the leaves reflect golden-green light into the room. We love it, and it still looks lovely many years after painting.

Unfortunately, where i live we cant paint the walls, so it came with an off-white color. I was thinking to use removable wallpaper and do an accent wall in my room but the off-white makes my bedroom look bigger..

My bedroom is light gray because that was the colour it was painted when they renoed the apartment before I moved in a few months ago.
If I do ultimately paint it sometime down the road, it will be a tranquil shade of blue; I love blue in a bedroom.

Yellow
The room is a pale yellow. Originally I painted two bedrooms lavender and one that faced west a darker yellow (very European). Iād picked a coral for the living room and some other colors. Our daughter thought Iād lost my mind.
When we had some work done, I had all the bedrooms painted a pale yellow, as a cheery color, to catch the sun at different times of the day.The living room is now Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore with a light blue accent wall and I had the fireplace mantel replaced from a beige granite and too much millwork to a small green mantel so I could hang a gold mirror over it.
I then changed the European yellow I had in the kitchen/dining area to light green (sleeping angel by Benjamin Moore and the ceiling a pale blue by the same company).
I was told I was using beach colors but Iām not near the beach. I picked colors I liked and felt light and airy.
