Looking for perfect paint color for sun/plant room!
I have a sort of indoor patio with a ton of plants. It’s got good lighting, but not as bright as I thought. I recently wanted one room in my home to have a darkish, bold color.. but the New Age blue isn’t working for me. What would work here? Rooms around this one are painted in SW Alabaster. Still interested in something unique, yet sophisticated. Pinks? Earthy Oranges? Alabaster?

@Beekarma Wow, even though you're not in love with the paint in this particular space, it really is such a striking color! What's the paint name?
As for colors to try, I think a something in the earthier realm would look fabulous: terracotta/orange, brown, green… all of these would let your plants pop! Some ideas here:
Terracotta/Orange
Check out the dining room in this house tour, which was painted Benjamin Moore's Rust
The guest bedroom in this house tour used Sherwin-Williams' Persimmon which is a little more peachy
Brown
This dining room B&A has a gorgeous chocolate brown (Benjamin Moore's Toasted Brown)
Green
In my own TV wall makeover, I used Behr's Black Bamboo, which is a really pretty deep green
Keep us updated on what you decide! This space is GORGEOUS and the perfect paint color will really make it sing!

wow @Beekarma! even though you're not in love with the room color, I must say I really appreciate it's boldness and it immediately made me smile. I completely understand wanting to change it up to ensure it's exactly what you want! your plant room reminded me of a home tour from last year. this homeowner had a gorgeous plant room, too, and she colored the space in Benjamin Moore's "Grape Ice."

I think an earthy green with Terracotta accents would look beautiful in this room. The blue to me does not bring any outside elements into the room.

Wow! I've totally been there before where a color doesn't feel right, but I do love how bold this color is.
How do you feel about mustard? It still brings some brightness to the room while being bold (and depending on the shade you choose, it can be pretty deep). I love India Yellow by Farrow & Ball. My second vote would be a deep green since you have a lot of beautiful plants and teal/green accents. I can't wait to hear what you land on!
