Hi guys! I just moved into an apartment in NYC and feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment, it feels bare and like the furniture does not fit into the space. If anyone has any advice/ tips I would greatly appreciate it.
If you hang your bike up, you instantly have art and the large size helps balance your large heavy chesterfield. Your window wall is interesting. Can you paint? Or could you use removeable wallpaper to draw attention to the shape. The window itself could have sheers for softness and privacy.
Big rug. If you can't afford one big one (10'x12") two identical ones (6'x10') might be cheaper. Tape them together. Personally, I'd keep the cat food and the cat tree together in your dining area.YMMV.
Toss those two big pillows on the chesterfield along with the throw.
It's not bad at all. I would suggest you don't rush and go baby steps. Have you considered redesigning the space in 3d first? I think it could help you start without committing to any changes. And you could actually use the room scan tool inside the app if you have iOS.
Let me know if this helps :)
