I want to rearrange the space. any suggestions are welcomed. I am a renter, so any change suggestion would need to be something I can change back to original form, if needed. Thanks
Hi @Boobe4me — Thanks for posting in our forum! It looks like there was an error with your image upload. Can you try uploading a new photo so we can see your space?
Thanks @Boobe4me for sharing the photo. I updated it to your original post so everyone can see it easily. What's not working about the existing layout? Are there functional needs that you need met, or is this more aesthetically driven? I think a few more photos would help us understand the full layout, too!
Post a few more photos!
Honeslty wouldn't change a single thing, lol. The space feels very wholesome and homey to me.
beautiful room. I would change the area rug to a bigger size
here are additional photos. I’m looking for assistance with the layout specifically but any suggestions are welcomed. I took out the kitchen chairs and moved the recliner to the corner where the chairs were.
looks nice. You need a bigger rug and some color. Sorry I can’t help you with the layout. Try some different moves and see what you like. Good luck
thank you
Can the console with the tv move to be more centered on the sofa, and the upholstered chair? I agree with the rug commentary If you find the wicker chest too low, you could add legs and a wooden base to it - or wheels instead of legs. I like the texture it brings.
I can imagine being very comfortable in this room - and your kitchen chairs are nice too.
Thank you JudyJudy!
Thanks for your suggestions and I really like the suggestions of putting wheels on the wicker chest.
I think a larger rug that goes underneath the whole sofa would help. Castors on the chest coffee table is an excellent idea.
thank you for the suggestion. I really like the idea of the castors under the chest as suggested previously. I will work on that.
How much is your budget? While I agree with a larger rug, would you be able to afford to replace the window coverings? I would like to see matching drapes at both windows, and the patio doors treated as a window.
Remove the vertical blinds, which really date the room, hang rods closer to the ceiling to make the room feel taller and then matching drapes that reach the floor without pooling. I'm old fashioned enough to like sheers, but miniblinds would be okay. Or perhaps bamboo rollups for more texture? And I would pick up the blue cushions with blue or green (or a blue and green pattern) drapes and rug. For example a plain deep blue rug and a green and blue plaid for the drapery fabric. The basic problem with the room to my eye is that it is beige on beige on beige. But to me yellow is a neutral.
