This house has such a warm, lived-in feel! I love how the Spanish-style details were preserved while making it cozy. Can’t wait to see the full tour when it’s live—definitely inspiring for anyone looking to add old-world charm to their space.
I cannot even imagine pink-and-yellow tiles! Your solution makes that bathroom a brilliant bit of history.
This is immediately recognizable as a Los Angeles house without even having to mention it in the story. The style of the bathroom, the vintage stove (why is it so common in LA to have a vintage stove?) and the tiled kitchen counters. Cute house.
This is the kind of house that makes me miss California. I love the tile in the kitchen and bath. Personally, I would have liked the pink and yellow together in the bathroom, but those are two of the colors I use everywhere. Still, the black is also a nice look with the yellow, and I'm glad she used stickers instead of removing the original tiles. Tile stickers are one of the most useful things ever created! The picture rails are a nice touch. I have some walls in my old home that I literally cannot drive a nail into to hang a picture, and I have no idea what's back there behind the wallboard. A picture rail would solve that problem.
