Many beautiful aspects, especially the wood, but I would miss the the vibrancy of brighter colors.

The thoughtfulness, detailing and implementation of each component of this home is impeccable. I found myself holding my breath as I went through the images wondering how they could put a subtle twist on their brief in the next space. While I celebrate the result for the homeowner I would be afraid to actually live in such a sacred space. Imagine being the first person to put a drink glass ring on a shelf or drop a crumb on the floor. It almost has a museum like quality.
Usually architect-designed apartments are soulless and cookie cutter, but this is full of vision. I love the way the wooden elements correspond to traditional carved Indian furniture, and how every custom piece both fits the space and looks to ergonomics - like the shelves near the dining banquette leaving a cutout to get up easily. And it all looks livable and easy to clean, an absolute rarity.
totally agree. It’s gorgeous. Seems they achieved everything they wanted to even though it took 10 years.
