Hi. I'm wondering what the official AT protocol is around starting discussions. Sometimes there's a link to a discussion, sometimes there's a link to the community forum so we can start the discussion ourselves, and sometimes there's nothing at all. For example, the Wyoming House Tour featured today is from 2023, and there is no link either to a discussion of this particular tour or to the board to create a discussion.
I understand why you took down the original format for commenting, and I don't mind coming over here to comment, but I think you should be consistent. If you're hoping to generate more discussion, could you not just make it a habit to create a discussion link each time you post or repost a story? To be honest, I kind of resent having to start my own thread and then decide whether I'm naming it the title of the article itself or the name of the link to the article, which is never the same. Even not knowing that makes it hard to follow discussions. And if I'm being honest, I'm not coming over here to see if anyone has replied to my post if I have to do more than just click a button and scroll down.
It seems to me that if you really want people to comment, you should make it as easy as possible for them to do that, and if I get a vote, I'd vote on whoever posts the story creating the discussion link in the forum and attaching it to the story. Thanks for listening.
