Where did the fridge go??? That is a major part of this reno.
Great question! We moved the fridge to the adjoining mudroom so we could fit a table that seats six in the kitchen (there’s no dining room in the cottage). Pictures of the mudroom can be seen on our public Instagram account @walkerspointitalianate
Moving the fridge makes such a difference visually. So does removing all the junk on every available surface! The finished kitchen is fresh and relaxing.
This is a great renovation! Taking out the trash was definitely key. :) I love the stools and the table, and the storage bench is a great idea. The beadboard gives it a nice, cozy vibe. I might swap out the hardware on those drawers for something less traditional.
Yes, it was beyond time to take out the trash haha!
Thank you!!
The high bench looks very uncomfortable - don't your feet dangle and hit against the drawers?
My partner and I are both over 6 ft, so our feet touch the ground when seated on the bench. For others who don’t want dangling, the stools have footrests!
What a stunning transformation; so full of warmth and charm! The choice of white for the walls was brilliant; it really opens up the space and brings in such a bright, airy feel.
Thank you for your kindness! :)
