Community replaces Comments?

I've been really missing the comments lately, searching for
them with no luck, :'>( — until just now, when I found THIS!

Does this new Community discussion page replace the
Comments section that once appeared below each article?
If not, how can we comments on specific articles?

Yes, this Community Forum is where article conversations now live. We’re hoping it allows for more open dialogue, like the rest of the discussions that have been happening here over the past year. Right now, we’re prioritizing dedicated discussion threads for select House Tours and Before & Afters, which will often include the homeowner popping in to answer questions. If you come across a story that doesn’t yet have its own thread, you’re welcome to start one! Our moderators can then add the photos and details from the article so others can join in easily

We’re continuing to improve how this works and really appreciate everyone’s feedback as we learn and fine-tune the process. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions as you get acquainted. Thanks so much for checking in and being part of the community!

I miss the comments linked directly with the stories. I enjoyed reading the perspectives of others, some of whom could really spot and suggest things I didn’t. I felt it really encouraged interaction, which I don’t feel exists with the new format - at least how it is now. So I’ve not been reading as many stories all the way through and not clicking on as many at all. Sad.

Btw, I'm an Apartment Therapy OG! Yep, here from the get-go, when it was local: NYC, I live in Chelsea, so there were local "in real life" activities. My favorite was "AT Walks Manhattan": a bunch of us met at the George Washington Bridge at the top of Manhattan and walked down Broadway to the southern-most tip, Battery Park.

Thank you for being with us still! Yes, those walks were great and the broke down when my wife left me for another person in 2011 and I needed a few years to heal. I just got remarried to my long time girlfriend, Elly Castle, and we've talked about starting them up again. They were always the day before the NY Marathon in November, so we'll see! Stay tuned.

Although I was uncomfortable with some of the disparaging and unconstructive comments in the old Comments section, I really miss it.

Also, I'm having trouble here. When I click on the "Start a discussion about this Tour…" link, it does not lead to a place to discuss the new tour. Searching on a title phrase or the URL doesn't find it.

Any help with starting tour discussions?

Hi VintageBirthday, While this is a very big change, we're finding that the folks who contribute their homes are really grateful that we can now moderate comments about their homes and they are also excited to jump in and answer questions. It's making for a much healthier environment.

That said, we know the experience right now is bumpy and we're working on figuring out ways to improve it and extend easy forum comments to every Tour and B&A. Right now we have to do it manually and only can cover 50% of the Tours and B&A's each week.

If you want to start any conversation about anything and do it yourself, simply start up a convo with a good title and include pics and a link to the post if there is one.

For example, this is the most popular Tour of the year so far with title, link and one pic
