Please change the Default Sort order to recent activity AND 1 more request

When we come here looking for the discussion for a House Tour or Before & After, having the Sort order as "Top" is useless. People can't find what they're looking for. It should be sorted by most recent activity. Please change the default to either Recently Created (my preference) or Recently Commented—OR allow us to set our preferences for sort order in our profiles.

Additionally, please do not require us readers to start the discussions on each house Tour in this community forum. AT should post a thread here first and link to it at the TOP of each Home Tour's page. The way you did it for the tour titled "This Artist’s Tiny NYC Studio Is Proof You Don’t Need Much Space to Live Beautifully" worked well.

I agree with all of @MainelyDee suggestions.

If I may, I would like to suggest that, once the discussion is created for a tour or article, an easy-to-spot link should be at the beginning or/and end of said article, so we can just click on it instead of having to jump through hoops to get here.

@MainelyDee @MirandaPriestly We've just pushed out an update so that the default sort is "Recently Commented." Please let me know if you're seeing otherwise now

Agree with both @MainelyDee and @MirandaPriestly. I came here to comment on the Vermont Cottage but don't have the patience to sort through a bunch of other stuff. Another request: please give us the OPTION of whether or not we want to see the posts with people asking for decorating help. Not everyone wants to see these. Make it easier on us, AT!

I like to look at the article and leave a comment but this new system isn't working , so part of the joy is gone.

Hopefully something can be done to make it easier for us readers.

Hi @heyjudith — Design dilemmas are a big part of the forum! The homepage will always display the most recent discussions from all categories. However, if you'd like to keep an eye on specific categories, I suggest visiting those individual category pages (you'll find them linked in a couple of places on the homepage, and then you can bookmark them from there). You can also mute discussions that you don't want to be notified about by clicking the three dots in the right corner of the discussion and hitting mute
