A lovely, much less expensive pale yellow is Valspar Cream Puff. In a bathroom, you might want to change out the light bulbs near the mirror so you don't look jaundiced.
Farrow's Cream is so delicious. When I was searching for a butter yellow, I was torn between that and F&B's Hay 🧈 I love how different the bathroom feels by just carrying up the butter yellow to the walls. Great job!
It's a slight improvement. But it unfortunately looks like a cheap way to make the best of ugly tile. I don't know why, in those days, builders used whatever they had in the truck to put odd, clashing combinations of tile together. I had a house like that with horrible tile combinations. And it's expensive to redo unless you can do it yourself!
And then, if you do the tile job yourself, you have to weigh the time versus the money thing 😅 I do like that she made the most out of her situation by enhancing the sunny feel with paint!
I think what you have done is beautiful!
I love that you keep the old tiles. We have something similar in pale blue and black in our bathroom. I would never replace them as they add to the history of the house. However using the same color on the walls had not occurred to me. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love the before and the after! You just can't go wrong on this bathroom unless you rip it out.
