It's a nice bedroom, and that lamp is doing a lot of heavy-lifting, beautifully.
I'd add a few big elements: a sculptural rattan headboard, a few big art pieces (one on them over that nice fireplace), maybe an extra piece of furniture —a nice dresser instead of whatever that thing on the left is.
And paint the walls a different color, maybe. Cooler, to balance out the warmth from the lamplight.
Love the idea of adding something to the right of the bed to balance out the room. A nightstand? Maybe a wall sconce or reading light? An area rug would also look great in here. You could do something in a cooler color, like @MirandaPriestly mentioned
This bedroom is missing two night tables with reading and/or soft lighting. The tables should be different from each other. And a headboard. I love the ceiling fixture.
The night tables and headboard could be an attached one piece wrap around.
Tables/nightstands + lamps each side of the bed, maybe a bookcase with books. One shouldn't keep plants in bedrooms overnight (even cut flowers); they use your oxygen!
Missing a headboard and night stands. Also some bedside sconces or small lamps. Plant should be elsewhere in the room. Wall color should be lighter too. Hard to tell what that black thing is against the wall? Does it serve a purpose? I
I think it's a clothing rack maybe, but I'm also having trouble seeing!
Good ideas. Thanks Miranda!
Agreed. I guess a nightstand with a reading light might do the trick.
Nice tips. I thought plants produced oxygen instead of consuming it. Am I wrong?
plants should be in every room of your home. To create a healing space there should be a living thing in each room. Pets, plants. Animals and plants fill a home with love and light. Both have very high and clear vibrations and help clear away sadness, anger, grief and depression. Of coarse, only have as many of these as you are able to care for. They both can provide the beauty and vibration of nature.
No. You're not wrong.
Plants do breathe like we do, use oxygen and expel carbon dioxide, but if houseplants could use up your air so many people would be dead —and they thrive instead!
Nope...you got the plant part wrong. Plants take in carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen. Yay living things!!
