We have purchased a house
and want to do remodeling. The kitchen is almost square 12'9" by 12'5". We would like to put an island or at least someplace to sit and work. We can't figure out where to place it and how big it should be and in what orientation. we want sink under the three windows on the right side. We want to put the cooktop under the window in the back wall and on the left wall we want to put a pantry cabinet, a cabinet depth American refrigerator and a small cabinet whose counter we can use for unloading groceries on the other side of the refrigerator. Is the refrigerator too far away from the sink? We are planning to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room,
Recreate the space in 3d and try different options there before doing the actual reno. Use the room scan tool if you have iOS. As for the suggestions, I like your ideas, especially removing the wall. And the island might look well in the very middle of the kitchen (one of the options).
