I live in a revamped School house, remodeled Senior Community.

Each apt. is totally different and I choose a one-bedroom, small den apt.ergo living space is one large flowing room. 🌹 It has high ceilings, elongated windows, and the flooring thru-out is dark all wood plank flooring. I need to put some character, color and my decorating style is more eclectic, bordering bohemian styling. My fav. colors are earthy, orange, tan, olive and do not know where to begin. Any suggestions.?

I can only imagine how charming your space is! A revamped schoolhouse already has so much character, so I would focus on injecting your personality into the apartment through the things you can control. Are you allowed to paint, or will you be relying on decorative finishes to bring in style and color? What helps me when I'm starting from scratch is finding my jumping-off point, which is something that will influence many of the design decisions in my home. For example, a piece of artwork with bright stripes could influence the color palette in your room, or maybe a tchotchke you love can influence some of the decisions you make. I would start by taking inventory of the things you have and love and see if any of those could serve as inspiration for you
