Vinyl flooring is a terrible investment for areas you will be standing in for a long time like a kitchen. It is potentially toxic if the build quality is poor, it is harder (more painful to stand, fall, jump, walk on), and the texture feels cheap on bare feet.
Save up for engineered wood. You won't regret it.

Haha the lettuce made me laugh. I know that all too well! Do you have a local tile place you can visit in person? I find it so much more helpful to be in a showroom where I can touch the tile and speak to someone about the pros and cons of different materials. Then you get to take a bunch of samples home and use your imagination! It's so fun 😆 Even Lowe's or Home Depot should have some options for you if you can't find something local
