Hello I have a very long wall over my couch and cannot figure out a picture arrangement- go large or gallery wall? Thank you
I would try to go large and long, or possibly some thing in 3 parts. A gallery wall is better when you can move closer to inspect the individual pieces. Check out something like jettyhome.com for a triptych Giri Designs also has a section of 3-piece things. You don’t necessarily have to buy there but a great source for inspiration. Then go to ETSy and see what makes you happy. Don’t buy artwork that matches. Buy what makes you happy.
Maybe a mural? Amazon
Three or four large pictures/paintings?
Or mirrors?
You’ve got a great blank canvas to work with! For a wall this long, you have a couple of good options, and it really depends on the vibe you’re aiming for.
If you want a clean, bold statement, a large-scale piece of artwork or a long panoramic print would work beautifully. Something with rich tones or abstract movement could balance the length of the couch and add visual interest without feeling too busy.
On the other hand, if you prefer a more dynamic and personal look, a gallery wall would be a fantastic option. You could mix and match different frame sizes, incorporating artwork, photography, and maybe even some textural pieces (like a small mirror or wall sculpture) to add dimension. To keep it cohesive, try to stick to a consistent color palette for the frames or art.
Given the scale of the couch, I’d lean towards larger-scale pieces or a structured gallery arrangement rather than lots of small frames, which could feel too scattered. You’re off to a solid start—just add some height and visual weight to balance the room!
Thank you for all the fabulous suggestions- all great -wow very helpful! I hope I can post the "after" picture 😀
Please do! We'd love to see it 😊
Great Idea, that I would not have thought of. I love the first one.
