old work bench

My father was a carpenter and he used this in the basement as his work bench. He often just painted things with leftover paint from his projects… and thus the Kelly Green. I can just see him turning in his grave about me using this in my living room… he would have so wanted to build something 'nice' for me. But I love it and all its history.

This is so beautiful and makes the perfect TV stand! Lovely to see a sentimental piece getting a second life. Honestly looks like something you'd see for sale on a high-end vintage platform nowadays!

What a special piece! Your dad was onto something with the kelly green; it just has so much energy and is perfect in the living room, since it steals some attention away from the TV!
