hi everyone I was hoping to get some ideas to help bring this space together. We have a huge living/dining room that’s practically all windows. The furniture is a little small for the space and looking to add something to bring this space together, maybe more seating ? Or rearrange the furniture around the room ? Not sure! Any advice is appreciated
Honestly, everything looks very cohesive and fitting. Maybe consider a much bigger rug, though? Should give this space a refresh you want.
More things to consider: adding curtains as another layer on the blinds, moving the couch away from the fireplace, getting a big sectional instead of the current sofa.
You could also recreate the space in 3d and play around with it there.
Hope this helps a bit!
I would float the sofa with the back to the dining room. It will visually create a separate room, and you have enough room to create several nooks - reading area, intimate chat, game table, etc.
Those blue chairs are gorgeous, btw!
I think I'd give my eye teeth for a room like that, except the fireplace, what an odd place to put it!? You might need a focal point for the sitting area, there seems to be no TV and the fireplace is in the wrong place to provide it; perhaps a round or oval rug (another color, blue and gray alone is a bit overpowering) with your current furniture (which I thinks suits even though I'm not a fan of modern design), set at angles around the rug. If you need more chairs, by all means, if you don't? That would mean your 'sitters' being their own focal point, maybe a TV or fake video fireplace under a window?
I was going to say the exact same thing. Float the sofa. With the back to the dining room Exactly!
I saw this about an hour ago and was kinda afraid to say it. Thanks for doing it for me!
Sofa seems undersized for the room. Floating a good idea. But could use additional chair near fireplace. Consider a large statement coffee table and bigger poufs.
lovely home. Maybe bring sofa out from wall a bit- larger rug. Add some plants - maybe trees on either side of sofa so it looks larger. Someway and a few accessories
also your space is contemporary/modern, please don’t use round or oval rug
I too would turn your couch as suggested but surprised no one suggested to also turn your rug.
Couch back to kitchen
Chairs could be across from one another w/table beside each and lamp
Coffee table in the middle w/candle, books or tray w/ candles and object and yes, a sofa table would be nice with a lamp and your vases you have on the fireplace and basket underneath and maybe tree in corner and shelves or art on walls but also a mirror or clock would work.. I would let the pool be your view .
I would LOVE that room and would enjoy changing it and decorating for holidays!
Put a basket by the fireplace w/wood and make it more welcoming or maybe a tree but even a small table under the art piece you have with the vases of grass or whatever you like to compliment your art piece.
I would float the sofa where the two blue chairs are and put the two blue chairs with the side table between them and their backs to the dining area. Or one chair there and the other chair on the fireplace wall with the side table between them.
Your furniture does not replacing in my opinion. The room has a great uncluttered look which is great.
