to build a little banquette seating into my kitchen corner and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. My kitchen is very small.
That's the perfect little nook for banquette seating! Since you mentioned your kitchen is small, what if you ditched the traditional L-shaped seating and just added seating against the brick wall within the alcove? You could try to find a storage bench that fits the dimensions or go custom and build something exact for that spot. Do you like the circular table? You could also do a rectangular table that's coming out from the blue wall. For cushions, I like simple pillows to lean against or something that's attached to the wall. Here are some of my favorite inspiration pics I had saved:

What a perfect little area, I love the idea of filling the one wall with a banquette and a rectangular table coming from the wall, perhaps with a drop leaf on one, or both sides, or the end not attached to the wall. As I hate moving my chairs to clean the floor, I think this could ease some of the legs challenges that are faced when doing so. I don't really see a negative to it.
I've seen one built using Ikea cube storage or bookcase turned on its side. Look up Ikea hacks.
A little banquette in that corner would be a great way to maximize space while making it feel cozy and intentional! Since your kitchen is small, keeping it light and airy will help. Consider a built-in L-shape or even just a simple bench along the brick wall with storage underneath for extra functionality.
If you want a softer look, upholstered cushions in a subtle pattern or a warm neutral would add comfort without overwhelming the space. A slim, pedestal table (or one with rounded edges) would make it easier to slide in and out. You could also play with adding sconces or a statement light to define the area even more.
The charm of your current setup is already lovely, so a built-in banquette would just enhance that welcoming feel.
