Congratulations on your new home! I recommend bringing the theme of the water inside, as it appears that you live on a waterway. Since you already have orange in your color scheme, use soft blues and blue-greens as well as sand/soft camel for paint and accents. This will create a classy and tasteful look. Consider a natural-material for rugs, such as wool, sisal, sea grass, and jute. A bonus is, they are inexpensive. Consider adding different textures where you can with upholstery, throw blankets, and pillows. Showcase things you have been collecting already. Try furniture and decor in different arrangements. This place has the potential to make you feel like you are on vacation, all the time! Very best wishes to you, and please post a picture when you finish decorating. Buena Suerte.

@VillaSofia this is going to be an amazing home, especially because of all the sunlight and your view towards the river… It's a blank slate right now and I don't know your style, but I'd go heavy on the plants outside and in to bring the outdoors inside and vice versa, and a good place to start looking would be this post from our Small Cool Contest last year! Good luck and share your after pics when done.
