Are you decorating for Halloween?
Last year, I got into Halloween after resisting for so long (don't ask me why 😂). I love seeing how other people get into decorating at home for holidays, so I'd love to know if you plan to decorate for Halloween!
If you're planning on it, what do you usually do? Spiderwebs, pumpkin painting, something else? I have a few big ole pumpkins to paint, and I'm thinking about DIYing these candlesticks:

I made these last year too and they were just so much fun to make. My biggest dilemma was that I'd bend the candles a little too much and they'd snap. Finding just the right candle and temperature for supreme bending is key. I'm going to try again this year, but note: Buy extra candles! Just in case.

Ohhhhhh, I always used to go all out for Halloween, way way more than any other holiday decor. Each and every room had a little something in it, even the bathroom had Halloween towels and a few little statues.
I spent a lot of time on my front porch and windows. My Halloween decorations changed a bit from year to year , and took 2 large plastic tubs to store away. I haven't missed a year yet putting on a costume, even just to pass out the candy if I wasn't throwing a party or if i had no party to go to, I'd still dress up to pass out the candy.
For curbside appeal, you get a lot of pop with window silhouettes taped to inside of your home's windows, there are many ways to do that, either buying a ready made roll out plastic one that shows up when an inner light is on, or DIY ones that you cut out yourself. You DO have to leave your indoor lights on to get the effect for passersby and trick or treaters.
A cheapo and super easy addition for an orange Halloween glow, using dollar store plastic punkins placed over outdoor lighting, or, over indoor lightbulbs on lamps instantly changes the mood of a room. These can also be sat up on top of a lampshade, on the top edge.
ONe of my favorite decorations, was a store bought over the door hook with a witch who appeared to have smashed into the front door while flying on her broom. Hilarious.
This time of year, Facebook is chock-full of halloween videos on making DIY decor. Good luck and welcome to join those of us who are Halloween decorators!0 -
