What's the best vacuum for cleaning up pet hair?
Does anyone have a favorite vacuum cleaner? I'm looking for something that's especially great for pet hair. I have a Dyson Cyclone V10 right now, which has been really good overall, but after a few years of heavy-duty Basset Hound hair, I'm starting to wonder if it's dulling out. Here is my pup!
What vacuum do you all like to use?

One thing that "might" help, is brushing the pup almost daily during shedding season especially.
Also, for what it's worth, donning a pair of vinyl gloves or latex gloves, (the disposable tight kind) and rubbing over your furniture with your hands helps, especially the clothes you are wearing.
I use this hand vacuum (link below) for furniture, it is okay but to be honest, my pets are not heavy shedders and DO get brushed almost daily, which is just easier for me than vacuuming. I also bought a pet hair rake for the carpeting to go over it prior to vacuuming the carpet, as well as to get things from under bed, ha. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJ71FBV1?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 and I will have to go see what brand vac I have for the carpet on floor , it is okay but my main worry is pet hair on furniture. GOOD LUCK1 -
Thank you for the tips!! That's actually such a smart hack on the gloves. I'll have to try that and check out the hand vac 🙂

I have two friends who have two huskies and a Roomba and love it. Honestly, that's the best review I think any vacuum could receive, if it can handle the hair of two huskies then it's a solid choice.

I love my Shark vacuum —

I use to have a Dyson and a Roomba. Now, I have a Miele. To me the Miele works better on fur and carpets than the Dyson, The Roomba was great between the weekly manual vacuuming plus I needed a vacuum cleaner that could do stairs. I would also consider what type of flooring you have before purchasing a new vacuum cleaner.

Hi Puppy!!
As a fellow dog mom, I rely on a number of tools to combat pet hair. Robot vacuum at least 3x a week and vacuum regularly everywhere with a product that has a handheld option/attachment so I can get into furniture crevices. I use a cordless regularly and a corded one every so often, specifically for carpet/rugs. Also, do not forget to dust before vacuuming because pet hair gets everywhere!
Here's everything I use:

So true! Husky hair is no joke. My only hesitation with a Roomba is wondering if it can really get around every nook and cranny I have in my house, but I’m gonna do some research 🫶

Great point! I have a mix of hardwood floors and tile in the bathroom, but I have rugs down all over so I think a solid vacuum would work better for me than a Roomba

Thanks for the recs, Stephanie! Having a handheld cordless would make it so much easier for me to get into the tougher spaces
