Painting a basement

Im looking to turn a rental basement into a small home gym. I need to make it pretty first. I got a quote from a local handyman for $1950. This seems like a lot. I have no faith in myself to complete the project myself. Is this a reasonable price. Painting and drywall to cover insulation

Hi! What's the square footage of the area? Does that cost include material and labor? Did they say how quickly it would get done? It will also vary based on where you're based, but these questions will give me a better sense. I would suggest getting some other quotes to compare just in case. You never know!
