I’ve recently downsized from a home to a two bedroom unit. I have a dog and a three year-old son. My goals for this new space have been function, decluttering and making it feel like mine. I have tried to incorporate lots of colour because it’s something that really gives me joy and I feel like I didn’t have the freedom to make my spaces reflect myself the past.
What is everyone’s best advice/tip on using existing furniture while creating a new atmosphere? My walls are a very light but bright gray with laminate wood floors. I feel like I’ve done a really good job incorporating colour through accent pieces, but I am also feeling a little creative block on pulling things together.
key considerations include:
- Currently on a smaller budget
- small space ( not a lot of floor space)
- lots of plants
- light gray sectional sofa- pillow covers have helped effort- colourful pattern and solid mix
- Other furniture is neutral (white or wood)
- Love current rug (blue base w/ pink, white, orange, yellow design) but can easily move that to bedroom.
