One more thing.... the milk I spoke of came in an old fashioned glass bottle and had all the lumpy butterfat too. Just like the raw milk in the picture above. I think people should have non-homogenized milk readily available to them. They'd probably choose it over even the organic brands at the supermarket. I myself found it to be a little to heavy tasting. I'd like to get it occasionally though, because it is a different product entirely. But it was pasteurized. Is Raw Milk Worth It? I think people are confusing the whole issue. I've had non-homogenized PASTUERIZED milk and it is totally different from processed milk (even "organic" brands which I love). The milk has a totally different quality and mouthfeel. It tastes more "original" and in some cases it is a bit much - almost too creamy for my taste, with just the slightest funk or "raw" taste. I can see where people prefer that milk, and I think THAT is what they prefer. I was surprised how different the non-homogenized milk is. I suppose that is what most people are experiencing as "different", rather than the lack of pastuerization. Has anyone else had my experience? If so... I'd say this is the best of both worlds. Non-homogenized milk without the risks of non-pastuerization. Is Raw Milk Worth It? Dan Barber Says Yes. The New Yorker |

I ALSO have a hard time being respectful to this chair. Whenever I see them, I cannot get over the horrible people they are associated with. People with educations, yet knowing nothing. Letting their children romp with abandon, as there are no teachers to discipline them, due to their home-schooling experiment. People with no respect for the value of money, willing to waste exhorbitant sums on a chair that isn't even comfortable. They wear hot turtlenecks while sipping expensive coffee from their ugly little nespresso machines while sitting in a chair whose slick surface forces them to slide forward. Yet they continue to praise the chair's shape as iconic, though no one really likes sitting in them. And the filthy garbage that spews from their mouths. A mixture of cursing and pseudo-libertarian intellectualism drawn from watching one too many Bill Moyers television and Dali Llama programs combined with confusion over the origins of HOT yoga and macrobiot....... To each his own. Minimalism will never die. I prefer a sort of "softcore" minimalism - an attempt to approach the goal of hardcore minimalism (which is of course IMPOSSIBLE - no one can live that way!). The end result is usually a pleasing lack of clutter. New Issue of Elle Decor: Maximalism Replaces Minimalism |
