The tall spiky blackish plant is called Cordyline 'Red Star', which I underplanted with the little white plant called Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost'. It did really well in partial sun, and the euphorbia just kept on flowering all the summer.

amazing job! can you tell me the steps you took to paint laminate cabinets? my cabinets are dark brown home depot fake wood, and i would love to paint them white... but didn't know if the paint would stick to laminate.
