In my youth, when it was more important to spend the money on wine than on a corkscrew, I used to screw a drywall screw into the cork and pull it out using a hammer.

How about mac-tac or some kind of vinyl over top? We recently covered a wall with chalkboard vinyl and it works well, the only thing is to really keep it in place (the adhesive is so mild you can peel it off of anything very easily) we used thumb tacks in the corners to secure it.

"Located in New York City's East Village, Anthony D’Argenzio’s serene one-bedroom—which he shares with his fiancée and their long-haired dachshund, Sabra—is a master class in makeover magic. You’d never guess the apartment's former tenant was an elderly woman with an affinity for rose-hued window swags, cut-crystal dinnerware, and one very plastic-covered sofa. But here's proof!"

I want to, I really do! I live in a small one bedroom apartment with my bf and the bedroom is really the only other space besides the main room. If one of us feels like chilling out on their own they have to basically go to bed.

Whoa @ karacooks! Nuts are a source of protein and even used to be classed as a protein on the American Dietetic Association food pyramid. They are now typically classed as a fat, but 28 grams of almonds provides 6 grams of protein (an average woman needs around 46g per day) which would be a significant portion of the trail mix Daniel mentions.

I have a deadly nut allergy developed in adulthood and I would have to agree that there aren't many cookbooks devoted to nut-free cooking. When you are used to consuming and cooking with nuts they are difficult to substitute. When used as thickeners, or coatings or as bulk in a recipe it can take some serious science to replace nuts and their physical and chemical properties.

If someone left an image of a man whose children accuse him of sexual abuse and who began an affair with his underage daughter before leaving his marriage on my bed (see image #2) I would be very uncomfortable. No matter the temperature.
