I usually don't like painted furniture, especially on Apartment Therapy (lately I feel like people make their pieces look too busy by adding a lot of patterns, too many colors, etc.) but this is simple and looks great. I would have loved for it just to be re-stained too (boo to wood veneer taking that option away) but the finished product is still beautiful.

Agreed! If you're that grossed out, don't come over! ;-)

As others have stated, I have heard that many cats will not used covered litter boxes and I can't say that I blame them. I use a Litter Genie and scoop the litterbox once in the morning and once at night and have no issues with smell (other than in the few minutes after my cat uses it). I also use Precious Cat litter. With limited space, I have the litterbox in the bathroom so that it's not in high traffic areas.

I don't think there is anything wrong with people splurging for a $70 and I think it's great for the people that can buy a $70 candle and not think twice about it. My only suggestion was that there be some less expensive alternatives. I'm not speaking solely for AT's readership, I'm saying that the average American can't afford to spend $70 on a candle, no matter how much they would like to, so an alternative would have been nice. I'm sure it's a great candle and worth every penny, even so, it's not in my budget. No need for comments to get nasty.

I agree with almost every comment. Seventy dollars for a candle is so far out of most peoples' budgets that it's ridiculous to mention it without offering up some more affordable alternative.
