I have to say that I recently just stayed at the New Jane hotel based on the review in the NY Times this past weekend. The bar was definitely worth the trip, but unfortunately, I highly recommend against spending the night here. The bar is more of a club and it was so loud, many of the guests, including us, complained about the noise - until 4 am in the morning. Also, I woke up around 3:30am from the club noise, looked at my bed, and found bed bugs - two to be exact. They immediately switched me to another room, but I had already been bit. I really hate to give this place a bad review because it's a beautiful hotel and historic, but it really was the worst hotel stay I've ever experienced.
