when I was living in France, I would use speculoos cookies where graham crackers were called for in my US recipes. Perhaps those are easier to find than graham crackers in the UK?

Thanks, Faith et al! Just ordered a 9x13 and a smaller size stoneware dishes.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on the Pyrex debate that I was unaware was raging -- that they have changed materials in recent decade such that they are more prone to shatter.

Overall, what do you think about stoneware vs. Pyrex and the like?

a lot of my favorite casserole recipes call for all sorts of dish sizes. any thoughts on how to modify the recipe or what to do with the leftover that you can't fit in a pan that's too small?

I'd love to be able to fit a dozen shapes and sizes into my apartment kitchen, but space doesn't allow. in that vein, any suggestions as to which two sizes are the most used?

Thanks!

whoa, so many nasty comments!

love what you did with the space and it absolutely fits a unique purpose... not all of us can afford huge apartments in which to enjoy designing and cooking all day!

for a student, the size and design is great -- I really take your point about white as color to heart. it's the way I'm going with my new apartment, and it really makes a difference in the way the room keeps the light (and an actual sense of "lightness").

Kudos for such a great job/good luck with the PC! Can't wait to see where you land when you return to design work :)
