Ha! The before "character" needed to be put out of it's misery. The after is beautiful.

Wonderful relaxed and welcoming atmosphere created in a beautiful home! I love the colors. I especially like the dining table, the healthy plants, and the
way the instruments are displayed. Thanks for sharing.

Happy April . . . Fool's Day! So funny, however, I'm inspired to make bread and toast. One year Martha Stewart had a very serious segment on her show on how to make ice cubes. Pretty funny for Martha.

Home, Sweet, American Home! Beautiful! Here is the cure for the kitchen- these items to be placed on the island and around the counter-tomato basil salad, carved prime rib with bright green asparagus on the side, a large basket of popovers, and three pies-cherry, apple, and peach with vanilla ice cream to top. Add some plates, forks, and glasses of iced tea. Now everyone is happy. We are coming over. It reminds me of my aunt's house when we were growing up, and I remembered what we ate. I don't know how Parisians decorate, but I love this home.

James, I'm not surprised that you worked on Mad Men. It's talent like this that made that show such a wonderful hit. I love the sets and the art.

@ esmemulligan - Thank you for saying that so well. You have already stated what I was thinking and wanted to say. Education should teach critical and independent thinking. How can that happen when parents are controlled in this way, " . . .included television. I might have said the same a few years ago, but now I clearly understand that if just ONE (young) child in a Waldorf setting sees TV, s/he is going to talk about characters seen on TV, and that really just ruins the balance for the rest of the children, not to mention the tremendous emotional and financial . . .
