I work in a cloth diaper store and also teach cloth diaper classes and help our customers troubleshoot. I've cloth diapered all three kids and spent less than $1000- and that was partly because I try everything we carry and make some "fun" splurge purchases. I started when my oldest was 10 weeks old to clear up his rashes. It worked. I am passionate about cloth diapers, but I don't think that it has to be an all-or-nothing type thing. I am a single mom of three, working full time and cloth diapers don't run or consume my life, they are something that fits into my life. A Look Inside Cloth Diapers |

I recently painted a table to be more kid friendly and did it by sanding with a palm sander, using an oil based primer and an oil based enamel paint on top of the primer. I chose oil based because I wanted it to be more durable than a latex paint and I am quite pleased with it. Just be sure to sand. prime and paint in a well ventilated area. I am currently redoing a dresser for my son's room with stain and it is MUCH more work to stain than it is to paint. How To Repaint a DresserGood Questions | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

haha! This actually would have been great for me when I was a couple months into the recovery from my knee surgery. I was walking with a walker trying to push a stroller and it was a disaster. Moms On The Go — Meet The Scooter Stroller | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I've purchased all of my old cast iron cookware from resale stores. Baking them in a self cleaning oven for an hour then cleaning up the remaining rust with steel wool has made them as good as new! I also recently found a Wagner ware aluminum roaster with lid for $6! Thrifting for the Kitchen | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

We hav the Phil and Ted's and it is great! We upgraded from a Chico and really like it. The P T is a little more shallow than the Chico and sometimes me 10 month old arched his back to try to get out but other than that it is great. Five Hook-On High Chairs | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

I use the bottom shelf of the changing table in my 10 month old's room to store toys and books for him to crawl around and get into.. I also have a storage basket filled with soft toys tipped onto its side (almost like a cubby) so that he can see the toys in in there and get what he wants to play with. When I was a kid my mom stashed some unopened mail in the oven before we had someone over for a BBQ. That guest was so nice to help clean up afterward and went to put a freshly washed baking sheet in the oven for storage... My mom was mortified. Wacky Hiding Places | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I just rescued an old Griswold skillet from an antique shop- I was so gunky I had considered taking it to be sandblasted, but tried the self cleaning oven method first. An hour on the self clean cycle and a lot of smoke cooked all of the gunk off and revealed an almost perfect looking pan. I've been using grapeseed oil and putting it in the oven on low heat for a couple hours to season it. My grandma loved her cast iron, her skillets and griddles were something that the children drew names for- even eggs just slide right off! Fridge clutter is something that I don't worry about. My great grandparents had a ton of kooky magnets on their refrigerator and it was my favorite thing about their house as a kid. We did this when I was a kid and honestly, it got really out of control really fast and my mom wound up having to either deal with looking junky or take things for my younger siblings up herself. Baskets on the StairsGood Idea | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
