Call me crazy but I probably wouldn't even have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out. My daughter is often playing with dinosaurs and my son is using the play kitchen to make pancakes. Not a big deal in this household.

This is a hard one because you have to remember that the Tech influence is the time in which we live. You have your face glued to your smart phone all day in front of your kid and then tell them they can only do 50 minutes? Hum.....

Also, I think we forget that video games have been around forever. My brothers all had little handheld games growing up and that was 25 years ago. Little football games and hand help card games. That is old stuff. Both my brothers have their own computer businesses right now. One in advertising and one in graphic design so its not all bad.

Everything in moderation and nothing is all bad.

I have to say that I have had very good luck with these sherpa sleepers. THey are expensive but I just rotated 2 them. The zipper is super convenient for nighttime changes and much easier than a onesie and a sleep sack. My dr said baby's room should be 68 degrees. Brrrrr....
She also said that the hands and feet are ok if they are cool to the touch as long as the torso is warm.

Totally love it. There are so many kid's rooms that have yucky pink and baseballs and ick. This is serene and calm and black and white, just what babies like. Parents can add things the child actually likes as they grow up. Start off sparse, add as the baby grows. That is my feeling.

There are a number of wall mounted changers that are attractive and take up almost no space. I dont think the over the crib ones are very comfortable to use, but I don't have one.

I recieved this catolouge this week and thought that the merch was very nice. Clean, calm colors, soothing themes. I am not sure about the quality because I have never purchased. If it was organic I would splurge, but its not. :( I think infant sheeting should be organic cotton. (SIDS)
Otherwise I love the stuff. the nick nacks are very cute too.

We also have this slide and I highly recommend it. My 18 month old uses it many ways (slide, car ramp, hidey hole). We bought a plastic step2 slide first and its in storage because it was so ugly and not as sturdy as the Ikea slide. I have pictures if you are interested how it looks in my play room.
