My daughter has fallen asleep in her high chair, on the bathroom floor, laying across a storage ottoman.

But honestly, the weirdest place I ever found her was when she fell asleep in her bed. Shocking, right? It was to me. And I don't think it's happened again . . .

Guess it's only unbelievable until you've been there! I can't tell you how many times I inwardly cringe when a new mom tell me that it took 4 WHOLE MONTHS for their little one to sleep through the night. My son was waking 7 times a night at 9 months. We tried every method of gentle sleep training we could, and nothing worked. Believe me, I would have paid good money for a solution I hadn't tried. I broke down (mentally and emotionally) and let him cry. And eventually his sleeping has improved, though he still wakes in the middle of the night inconsolable at 20 months.

Let's not even talk about my 3 year old who never put herself to sleep until she was 2.5!

6 months sounds like a lot, but for some, it's completely believable--if not surprisingly low:)

I'm not much for having books, just for the sake of having book decor. I'd rather have books with gorgeous tattered linen covers and unique titles to add to my decor that I'll actually browse through on occasion. It seems the trend is to have any book so long as it fits into the perfect teal blue you're using as your room accent color--even if the subject covers mating rituals of slugs (then again I've seen plenty of people wrapping books in scrapbook paper, just to make them "fit" a room.) These seem no different. Bland and without emotion.

On the bright side. I'm liking the twine to wrap bundles of old books together. So it's not a complete loss.

Love it! And as much as I love a nice pop of orange, it just wouldn't work in the kids' playroom. Does it come in other colors? Wonder who makes it.

I don't think our fabric changing pad covers lasted much past the first week my daughter was born. After soiling two in one night, it became rather pointless to use them at all.

We've never had a single issue with not using one, and we're diapering baby number two. I love that after every change I can wipe it right down and have no worries that something germy is hiding there. For some reason, the cloth covers make me think of plush toilet seat covers which never seemed like a good idea to me.

Sometimes, in the middle of the night, if it's a bit chilly I'll lay down a cloth diaper burp cloth under their back, but neither baby has seemed to care if there diaper changes were soft and plushy--usually they just want off so they can get on with life.

Ours was more of a pre-emptive replacement. We moved into our home a few months before baby 1 was born, so we turned one room into a nursery, but it meant there was no room for my craft room. I did manage to kidnap the tiny closet in the office, but it's usually so stuffed I can't open the door.
